Location: South Brisbane
High school students (aged 14-18 years) thinking about studying architecture and design had an opportunity to learn more about the profession at a special workshop.
Brisbane Open House, the Australian Institute of Architects and the Queensland architecture schools (Bond University, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology and The University of Queensland) extended an invitation to students in years 10, 11 and 12 considering a career in architecture.
Students participating in this workshop during Brisbane Open House had the opportunity to:
• Talk with current architecture students, graduates, academics and practitioners about architecture.
• Experience the South Brisbane gathering space for the architectural profession, the Australian Institute of Architects.
• Learn through making with hands-on activities.
• Hear from select architectural practices, to gain an insight into being an architect.
