Brisbane Open House

Brisbane Open House is so much more than staff and a Board, more than its incredible volunteers and amazing supporters, and a special weekend event. It’s more than bespoke site tours, enticing evening gatherings and expert presentations. Brisbane Open House is a community and we wish to thank you for being with us, especially through this difficult time. It’s likely you have been impacted by COVID-19 in some way and we hope you and your family remain healthy and safe through this time of social distancing.

The last month has reinforced how important the spirit of community is for all of us. The generosity and care that we share with you as our community will help us through change, uncertainty and what we expect will be an extended recovery period.

2020 plans

We are working hard to adjust our operations to plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, thought-provoking Brisbane Open House programs in 2020 and 2021.

Our wish is to provide a 2020 program that encourages recovery, optimism and confidence, while still maintaining the quality of your experience. We will be focussing on sustainability, community and connection.

When the social distancing rules have been lifted, and as public confidence  strengthens, we are planning to deliver a pared back, quality program for Brisbane Open House. We are hopeful the program will include the Open House weekend albeit at a reduced scale, the postponed St Helena Island Garden Variety adventure, and several other events to activate our community. It takes a large village and months of planning to deliver our program and we hope you will join us.

We are in this together and we send you our sincere hopes for your good health and safe keeping.

We will share new digital content and 2020 program updates via social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter), and BOH News.

Suggest a site or activity for the Open House program. We are considering proposals for 2020 and 2021.
