25 King is Australia’s tallest and largest engineered timber office building (by gross floor area, as at completion in November 2018). Developed by Lendlease and designed in collaboration with engineers Aurecon and architects Bates Smart, it is a world-class working environment for Aurecon’s 600 plus people.

Engineered timber provides an environmentally friendly alternative to concrete and steel, with a lower carbon footprint that creates a connection with nature to promote a sense of well-being. The Aurecon fit-out, designed in collaboration with Woods Bagot, is an innovative and sustainable workspace that puts people at the heart of the design.

Large floor spans with natural lighting allows for flexible workspaces and an open plan client experience floor, enhanced with planting and indigenous artefacts. Features to promote health and well-being and staff productivity include an internal staircase linking all Aurecon tenancy floors, stand-up desks, a digital wayfinding system to help staff locate available desks and colleagues, comfortable break-out areas, careful choice of non-toxic materials, a hub kitchen with healthy snacks, and balanced interior luminance. 25 King truly embodies a new workplace for the future.
