The building has been restored and conserved by the family who owned the building between 1939 and 2011 when it was strata titled. The O’Connor family remain in residence as chief custodians with the support of a highly motivated group of new owners.
It is one of the cities most famous and most intact Art Deco apartment buildings.
Public interest in Coronet Court remains high. It is a highlight on the city’s popular commercial Art Deco Tours and invariably features in the local historical society free tours.
It is featured in many architectural histories. Coronet Court is uniquely intact with a fascinating history and beautiful interiors which are protected by an award winning heritage agreement. The building celebrates its 90 birthday this December.
