Gray Puksand is an Australian architecture and integrated design practice in Brisbane. Our vision is to create an inspired future with beautiful, authentic and considered projects that improve the way people work, learn and live. Our studio with open plan workspace will be made open to the public and their four legged friends.
Once the infamous, three-level Hellfire Club with a set-back that allowed for three car spaces, 172 Robertson Street is now an A-grade four-level commercial building with off-street parking and balcony views.
Gray Puksand enhanced the existing architecture by playing with cubist forms, adding an overhanging floor on top of the building and a retail box out the front.
This design solution was augmented by boldly painted articulation on the façade, where the building is higher than adjacent buildings, and designed by Gray Puksand’s in-house graphic designer. The result is an almost brand-new building with a self-assured street presence and increased net lettable area that is attractive to the commercial market.
Gray Puksand’s design team makes the most of the front and rear balconies on level 2. A balance of natural light to flood into the studio over the course of the day.
