Spire Residences is the newly completed $200 million building delivered by Brisbane’s Consolidated Properties Group. The 340 apartment building rises 40-stories above Queen St; designed by six-time national award winner – John Wardle Architects and built by Hutchinson Builders.
Designed with consideration for Brisbane’s growing story, the gateway building marks the CBD from Fortitude Valley and was deliberately positioned to allow visibility of neighbouring heritage site, St John’s Cathedral from a distance. Brickwork patterns and forms unite surrounding heritage sites and surrounding buildings on Ann and Queen St.
The veil façade is architecturally beautiful and also serves a practical purpose, it expands and retracts to provide privacy.
Now in full use, residents are enjoying the exceptional amenities including: a magnificent infinity rooftop pool, rooftop private dining area, rooftop gym, library and cinema. Social spaces with large-scale art by Peter Hennessey and warm music provide relaxation areas outside apartments while still within the comforts of the building.
