Location: Kangaroo Bridge – CBD side (A Brisbane Open House flag will signpost where to meet).
Kangaroo Point Bridge is an amazing recent addition to the City’s connectivity and public offering.
The Bridge is the result of many hands.
Take a walk across Brisbane’s new Kangaroo Point Green Bridge with the team behind its Concept design.
Led by Cox Architecture Director Richard Coulson, Brisbane City Council’s City and Place Manager Peter Leeds and Arup’s Principal Eliza Howell, this guided walk will explore the bridge’s design journey, from early concepts to the dynamic new connection it provides across the Brisbane River.
As you move along the bridge, the team will share insights into the design process, challenges and engineering innovations, and how the bridge fits into the broader Bridges for Brisbane program.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the bridge firsthand while gaining a deeper understanding of how thoughtful design and city-shaping infrastructure come together to create places for people.
