Lego enthusiasts, Clicking Bricks join the stacked Brisbane Open House program to provide a unique kids’ activity fit for the whole family!

To celebrate the contribution of remarkable architecture and design to Queensland culture, the team has partnered with long-time LEGO® enthusiasts Damian & Andrew from Clicking Bricks (Season 2 LEGO® Masters and Season 5 Grand Masters) to provide a unique and FREE kids’ activity at the Brisbane Open House King George Square information centre over the Brisbane Open House weekend. From 10:00am to 3:30pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July.

Kids and adults alike will have the chance to build some great structures out of LEGO®. Damian of Clicking Bricks will be joined by LEGO® Masters Season 1 legend Adam ‘Bilsy’ Bilsborough – who will be on hand to help out with an awesome build the whole family can get involved in. With thousands of LEGO® bricks at your fingertips, the sky really is the limit!

“We are so excited to be joining the Brisbane Open House team this weekend for a kids LEGO® workshop at King George Square. We feel so lucky to be able to share our passion and stories with Brisbane Open House visitors here in Brisbane, whilst appreciating and celebrating some of our iconic landmarks” said Damian of Clicking Bricks. But perhaps most impressively, the pièce de resistance is the magnificent Story Bridge LEGO® model custom designed for Brisbane Open House that will be on display from 10am – 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. It measures just over 2 metres in length and half a metre high and features around 3,500 parts. The structure took 15 hours to build!

“The Story Bridge is undoubtedly one of Brisbane’s most iconic structures, with steel supplied by our 2023 Brisbane Open House partner BlueScope and its predecessors, who are celebrating 50 years of manufacturing in Queensland this year. This really was the perfect addition to our King George Square activation” said Melissa Hoedel, Executive Director of Brisbane Open House, of the decision to commission the impressive Story Bridge LEGO® model.

This will sit alongside the COLORBOND® steel Discovery Van, with members of the COLORBOND® team offering complimentary external COLORBOND® steel colour consultations and sharing information about BlueScope’s product range and contribution to architecture in Brisbane. From 9:30am to 3:30 pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July.
