With its warm winter weather, sub-tropical plant life and stilted houses, Brisbane is a vastly different city to its southern city counterparts. With its ever changing urban landscape, each year Brisbane Open House invites visitors to capture images of Brisbane’s amazing architectural places and spaces to enter into the BOH Photography Competition.

The competition is run with a range of categories including best images for building exteriors, building details, building interiors, as well as best student category.

To see our Album for all winners and highly commended from last year’s competition. We will look forward to opening the competition up again in 2024 over Brisbane Open House weekend!

In the same spirit of capturing the beauty and interest of Brisbane, entries are now open for Brisbane City Council’s Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards 2024 and this year the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards is asking entrants to capture ‘Brisbane in its best light’ by sharing the places, people and experiences that make our city shine brightly!

This annual photographic competition is open to anyone who lives, works, or studies in Brisbane and entries can be submitted between now and 4pm on Friday 7 June. Entries can be submitted here.
