High on the hill, looking out over the Brisbane River from Kings Row Office Park sits Milton House.
Constructed around 1853 for retired Queen Street chemist Ambrose Eldridge, it was first built as a proud homestead on farmland of over 30 acres.
Since then, this Colonial Georgian gem has lived many lives. From simple farmhouse, to housing women college students whilst owned by the Presbyterian Church, to forming the heart of the Kings Row Office Park and, of course, it’s recent repairs and restoration; Milton House has stories to tell.
Listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992, this house is not often open to the public, so come down and say hello.
