Port of Brisbane is Queensland’s premier multi-cargo port and a key economic gateway driving Queensland’s trade growth. Every year, almost $50 billion in trade is handled through the port including 95% of Queensland’s international container trade and approximately 50% of the state’s agricultural exports.
The Port’s 1,800-hectare footprint comprises 7,500 metres of quay line, 30 operating berths, 795 hectares of environmental buffer and future port expansion zones with approximately 2,500 vessels calling annually. Port of Brisbane is managed and developed by Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) under a 99-year lease from the Queensland Government.
The PBPL office was the first in Australia to receive a 5 Star Green Star-Office as Built v3 certification from the Green Building Council of Australia. The building is an example of PBPL’s commitment to sustainable development at the port.
