Each year, visitors are invited to capture the city’s most remarkable architectural places and spaces and enter them into the Brisbane Open House Photography Competition.

Prizes are awarded in a range of categories, with an Overall Winner selected from entries across all of the categories.
Viewing Roofing
Capture the inspiring rooftops viewed from above or below—whether it’s an aerial perspective, unique angle, or intricate detailing within roof structures.
People
Capture the relationship between people and place — architecture in use, movement, or appreciation.
Building — Exterior
Celebrate architectural form through striking images of a building’s façade, shape, and scale.
Building — Interior
Focus on light, materials, spatial design, and atmosphere inside a space.
Building — Detail
Highlight craftsmanship, ornamentation, or clever architectural elements.=
The 2026 Brisbane Open House Photography Competition is proudly supported by BlueScope | Colourbond.
All entries must be taken at participating buildings during the event weekend (18+19 July) or at Brisbane Open House events (any date).
The Photography Competition opens for entries at 9am, Saturday 18 July and closes at 5pm, Friday 24 July. Winners will be announced by the end of August 2026.
