Reddog Studio is thoughtfully composed of three interconnected zones. On arrival, the ‘front of house’ greets you with warmth and informality – featuring a kitchen, boardroom, and waiting area with domestic cues. The main workspace is open, flexible, and non-hierarchical, encouraging collaboration and comfort.
At the heart of the studio is the services pod – a sculptural, plywood-wrapped core that conceals essential amenities. It’s the most expressive feature in an otherwise restrained interior, taking inspiration from nearby architectural landmarks like the Villa Maria convent and St John’s Ambulance buildings.
Timber is used throughout in various forms to evoke the textures and traditions of Queensland architecture. The rich palette of reds, browns, and bronzes mirrors the surrounding red brick and rusted tin, grounding the space in its context.
A standout feature is the custom boardroom table, crafted in collaboration with local artisans. Designed to adapt to meetings of all scales, it embodies the studio’s spirit of versatility and craft.
From tongue and groove floors to operable glazing that opens up to verandah-like balconies, every detail is designed to bring warmth, rhythm, and a relaxed, familiar atmosphere to this contemporary workplace.
