19/07/2025
10:00AM - 11:00AM

Start: Outside City Hall, King George Square

Participants stepped into Brisbane’s past and uncovered the intricate craftsmanship and rich history woven into the city’s most iconic buildings and their timepieces.

This guided walking tour, led by Trevor Hayes from the Queensland Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Inc., offered a rare glimpse into the artistry and engineering behind some of the city’s most treasured clocks. As they journeyed through landmarks such as City Hall, Brisbane Arcade, the General Post Office, Central Railway Station and the Old Windmill, participants gained a deeper appreciation for how these public buildings—and the timepieces they house—have shaped daily life in Brisbane.

From grand civic clocks to elegant arcade timepieces, each stop revealed a unique story of innovation, tradition and community connection.
