2025 Brisbane Open House
20/07/2025
10:00AM - 11:00AM

Participants delved into the rich layers of Brisbane’s past on this guided stroll through the heart of the city. Beginning at Emma Miller Place—once the site of Brisbane’s second market and now a tranquil park—they uncovered its surprising connections to Emma Miller, the trailblazing English-born suffragist and union organiser. From there, the group visited the nearby rival market site before finishing at the unexpected location of the Emma Miller statue. Along the way, participants discovered other hidden heritage gems and heard the stories that shaped the city.

The tour was suitable for history buffs, curious explorers and all ages.
