Brisbane Open House is gearing up to celebrate our city once again, and we want to hear from you. Expressions of interest for the 2025 program are now open and we want to hear which buildings, spaces, structures, and places you would love to explore.

Brisbane Open House 2025 will run on Saturday 19 + Sunday 20 July 2025 and we are excited to provide a unique opportunity for locals and visitors to explore and engage with Brisbane’s iconic built environment. We’re inviting individuals and organisations to submit proposals which will help to shape the program for this citywide celebration of architecture, design, heritage and community.

We welcome EOIs from building owners, architects, designers, urban and landscape professionals, community groups, and anyone passionate about showcasing Brisbane’s spaces and the importance of thoughtful design. Whether located in the heart of the city or within Greater Brisbane’s suburban areas, we encourage submissions in diverse locations to help share the stories that shape our city.

Submissions can take many forms, from open-access building tours to interactive site tours, workshops, panel discussions, talks, film screenings, and exhibitions. Here’s a breakdown of the format options:

  • Open Access: These locations allow visitors to drop in for guided or self-guided tours, free of charge and without pre-booking. This open access enables a wide range of participants to enjoy Brisbane’s spaces spontaneously.
  • Pre-bookings: Certain buildings with limited capacity or security needs, such as residential homes or construction sites, may require pre-booking. Brisbane Open House will manage these pre-booked tickets and will work with you to assess your venue’s capacity. A small, non-refundable booking fee of $7 will apply to pre-booked tickets to help cover administration costs and reduce no-shows.
  • Open Access + Pre-booking: Some locations offer a mix, allowing visitors to drop in or attend a scheduled tour, providing flexibility for both casual visitors and those seeking a guided experience.

To be part of Brisbane Open House 2025, please submit your EOI via our online form. All submissions will be carefully reviewed by the Brisbane Open House Curatorial Team. We look forward to your submissions!

Submission Deadline:
5pm, Friday 14 February 2025
