Intersection of Logan and Old Cleveland roads, c. 1928 (State Library of Queensland).
The 2.3-kilometre self-guided trail takes you through the historic high street and nearby landmarks of one of Brisbane’s oldest retail and commercial areas.
Starting on Logan Road, the trail offers a glimpse into Stones Corner’s stylish past, including insights into the striking Art Deco building, formerly Penneys department store, built in the 1930s to service the burgeoning Stones Corner community and the surrounding district.
As you follow the trail, you’ll encounter a range of significant sites, from heritage-listed buildings to historic landmarks, before finishing at Langlands Park on Panitya Street, which has been a hub for local sport and recreation dating back to World War I.
