The Queensland Heritage Council is the state’s independent advisor on heritage matters. It works to identify and protect places that have special cultural heritage value to the community and future generations. The Heritage Council was established by he Queensland Heritage Act 1992, which requires it to act independently, impartially and in the public interest.
