Trellis by Aria is a 13-storey residential development in South Brisbane that celebrates subtropical living through architecture, landscape and lifestyle. Located beside one of Brisbane’s oldest parklands, the building introduces a striking contemporary form to the skyline while drawing inspiration from traditional Queenslander homes.

Designed by RotheLowman, the project reinterprets familiar elements of Queensland architecture within a contemporary apartment building — deep balconies, operable glazing and layered shading. The façade reflects the rhythm and permeability of traditional homes, allowing the building to respond to Brisbane’s climate while capturing views across the city and surrounding greenery.

Landscape is integral to the design, with 6,879 trees and plants integrated throughout the building to create a lush vertical environment that enhances resident wellbeing and environmental performance. Sustainability initiatives also include 210 solar panels, contributing to the project’s UDIA Six Leaf Sustainability Accreditation.

The ground floor arrival experience is defined by a 10-metre-high landscaped lobby spanning more than 590 square metres, incorporating work-from-home areas, a fitness centre and yoga space. Across 110 apartments, residences are designed for comfort and connection to the outdoors, with three-metre ceilings, natural ventilation and operable glazing allowing homes to open fully to Brisbane’s subtropical climate.

Residents also enjoy more than 1,700 square metres of shared amenity, including rooftop wellness facilities, private dining spaces and an infinity pool overlooking the Brisbane skyline.

Completed in 2023 by McNab, with landscape design by RPS Group, Trellis has received major industry recognition.

Join the project team behind Trellis for an exclusive guided tour of this award-winning development. Led by representatives from Aria, RotheLowman and RPS Group, the tour offers a rare opportunity to gain insight into the design thinking, sustainability strategies and collaborative process behind the project. Participants will explore key spaces while hearing directly from the team about the building’s architecture, landscape integration and approach to subtropical apartment living.

Guided tours will take place on Saturday 18 July. Tickets can be booked in June.
