Descend deep below the streets of Albert Street and see firsthand how construction is progressing on Brisbane’s new underground Albert Street station. Cross River Rail is a second rail path through the core of our rail network that will unlock more frequent, reliable train services right across South East Queensland.
Albert Street station is one of four new underground stations being delivered as part of the project. This is a rare opportunity to explore the station as major construction nears completion, taking you beneath the station’s entrance and down to platform, where you’ll be able to see key features already in place, including elevators, platform screen doors and architectural finishes.
The tour will be led by senior engineers responsible for delivering Albert Street station, alongside representatives from Hassell, the architecture firm behind the station’s design.
Ballot entries open at 9am on Thursday 2 July and close at 9am on Thursday 9 July. 40 lucky winners will be drawn at random to join this rare subterranean experience.
