Our Brisbane Open House Practice Partner Dulux recently hosted the 2026 Dulux Study Tour, taking this year’s cohort of emerging architects across Singapore, Paris and Vienna on a once-in-a-career journey that extends far beyond the buildings they visit.

Selected from a highly competitive national pool, the five winners, Jack Gillmer, (NSW), Rachel Licht, (TAS), Sharaan Muruvan, (WA), Callum Senjov, (QLD), Jasmine Placentino, (SA) represent the next generation of architectural leadership in Australia. The Dulux Study Tour continues to stand as one of the industry’s most respected programs, offering a rare opportunity to explore global design thinking, connect with leading practices, and experience architecture in its cultural context.

Immersive Learning

The tour brings participants face-to-face with some of the world’s most influential architectural studios, landmark projects and cultural institutions. Across three distinct cities, each with its own architectural identity, the group is exploring how design responds to place, people and purpose.

From the density and innovation of Singapore to the historic layering of Paris and the refined urban fabric of Vienna, the experience is designed to challenge perspectives and inspire new ways of thinking.

This deep immersion fosters a richer understanding of global trends—spanning materiality, sustainability and adaptive reuse—while reinforcing architecture’s evolving role in shaping resilient, culturally connected communities.

More Than a Tour

At its core, the Dulux Study Tour is about connection and an opportunity for participants to reflect on how global insights can be translated into Australian practice.

Throughout the journey, participants engage in meaningful exchanges with international peers and leaders, gaining exposure to diverse approaches not only influence design outcomes but also the way architects think, collaborate and lead.

A Lasting Impact

The true value of the Dulux Study Tour lies in its legacy. Upon return, participants join the esteemed Dulux Study Tour Alumni— they will be officially inducted at the Dulux Study Tour Alumni event in Sydney on the 1st of October.

This influential network of architects continues to shape the built environment through leadership, innovation and collaboration. This reflects Dulux’s ongoing commitment to supporting the profession, fostering lifelong connections and empowering emerging architects to contribute meaningfully to the future of the industry.

Supporting the Next Generation

Through its partnership with the Australian Institute of Architects, Dulux remains dedicated to recognising excellence and investing in the future of architecture. The Study Tour is a powerful expression of this commitment—providing not just exposure, but opportunity, inspiration and a global perspective that continues to resonate long after the tour concludes.
