When the announcement was made, many locals were surprised, if not a little puzzled. But spending time along this 1.5-kilometre stretch at the northern end reveals the raw ingredients of a genuinely cool precinct: rich history, public art, open space, entertainment and plenty of room for new ideas as industry gradually moves on.
Maurice McCallum will host this walk. Maurice is an active member of Kurilpa Futures and was an early adopter of high-rise living in West End in the 1980’s. He is passionate about community engagement and the history of the area which is a perfect combination as your walking guide.
