From convicts to civic grandeur, this walk uncovers the layers beneath Brisbane’s streets. Starting at City Hall, this walk takes in the history of Brisbane as a penal colony, a range of public artworks and views across the South Bank where you might spot an egret or green heron! Heading on to the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), highlights include Old Government House, the stories of William Robinson, Lady Bowen and Lady Lamington, and a stop at The Cube to see what’s showing on the giant screens, before finishing at the QUT Art Gallery and City Botanic Garden.
